As Raven kept on suggesting, I thought it was about time we/I listened to him. (Am I allowed to call it 'official' Raven?)
so, BRING 'EM ALL ON! (the Ent-D refit is already TAKEN btw - just so you know )

A number of ideas for ships (completed or close to) that persons would like to see in BCII have been submitted.

Which refers back to my first question: completed ideas for ships people want in BCII, or just concept drawings?

Hey, it looks cool, but as stated in the thread it does look very Romulan, or Reman. A colored version might help it look a little better and more Fed like.
Or you could reverse the direction the bridge is and make it look Jem, or Kessok . . . are the kessok in here at all? That would be cool?

Alright. The color scheme (if traditional fed or Third Fleet) should make us sure what race it is :-).

Yeah, as well as most/all of the ships in game. That is why we have had such trouble and effort in making new vessels.

No offense inteaded, but with that kinda color scheeme and hull plating it almost looks Reman or something. My sugjestion is give it either the traditional Fed color scheme, or the Third Fleet Color Scheme.

Nice looking . . .
Can we have some stats? Like, what class is it? weapons, shield streangths, power systems, warp speeds etc?

Check out this thread from the Bridge Commander Rants & Raves forum (on GamingForums.com) re: ship ideas, AND MORE IMPORTANTLY a lot of good feedback on what gamers liked and disliked (ok, mostly disliked) about BC1.
http://www.gamingforums.com/showthread.php?t=67395
There are 71 posts, so I'll not try to enumerate the ideas here, but the word "autonomy" sums up many of them. Seemed like you were more of a trained monkey who had to give the right orders in the right sequence and then you got your banana. rather than a captain in command. It was cool to sit in the big chair, but after that it was just tedious. It's a great concept which needs much more flexibility and meaningful interaction with crew in the game.
Here's a very good review (my opinion, of course) that covered most all the bases re: the game play itself:
http://www.armchairempire.com/Reviews/PC%20Games/star-trek-bridge-commander.htm
You can find links to others at http://www.bcfiles.com/reviews.php.
One other thing - I hated first officer Saffi and Admiral Liu. Less condescending characters (or versions of these two) would be awesome.

What exactly does this have to do with ships?

Let me repeat myself to clarify:

Follow the link in the original post and you'll find discussion of ship ideas and more.

Right on the subject of the Cygnus Prime:
It's currently 25 miles long (big eh?) but it is basically a one man/ferengi army. has several hundered torpedo and pulse phaser turrets, carries at least 3 enterprise-d sized ships, and the front wing is a very large phaser emitter, travels at relativly low warp, (no higher than 5) I'd like it to cloak, but that's a bit OTT.
I know it's completly un-cannon, and very special, it is my ship, the pinicle of my creation.

Allow me to repeat myself . . . never mind, I was wrong, sorta.
Unless you want to go through and sugjest all of those ships and get those people to tell us what they were thinking . . . I don't see how anything like that would work. Most of BCII is already decided. Could you please clarify what you meant? I might have misunderstood you, what it looks like there are just general ideas about races and scenes, etc.
Glemp Sounds cool, we were trying to have the Infinity dwarf the sovie . . . but this dwarfes the infinity!!!

Hmm... Maybe I've confused myself and referenced the wrong thread. If so, my bad. I'll double-check the thread and report back. At any rate, I do hope the BC2 developers are aware of the concerns many (including myself) had re: the game play, AI (read: lack thereof) and other stuff.
Peace.
