Ok, here is the final (or pretty much final) version of my "super runabout". I named it the Atlantis class, in honor of the patron that came up with the name Corvette.
Still unsure about the total size, but I would like it to be at least 2, if not three times the length of a standard runabout, but shorter than the Raven class. This ship was meant to be able to defend itself, and work as a light transport. It is probably as capable as a Brel class BOP, if that gives you any idea as to the strength of weaponry and shielding.
This should be the workhorse of the fleet. I have changed the hole in the center to have "plug-in modules" so to speak, to facilitate different mission profiles. The modules could be science, tactical, command, recon, etc. The possibilities should be endless, and make the ship very flexible.
Enough. Here it is. Opinions.

Nice ship. I think it would look better if you filled out the gap between the module and the ship.
Is the small thing on the side of the ship a door?

Yes, the item on the side is a door.
Interesting idea about the drop container, can you draw what you mean?

wouldn't be hard, just a big container that might have thrusters to brake it, and/or a big door for rapid deployment, or just explosive bolts to blow one side off
and a few sensors/windows for info, the thing would come in drop it off, either by landing or DROPING, and it might be armored

i was advised to show him by someone else, how is his runabout a different design concept, runabouts are runabouts they can be anything else otherwise they would be designated something else, the one above mine looks more like a ship if u ask me...

Hmm, I like the double-decked idea. Maybe you can say that the Atlantis has two decks, although that could make it too big looking at the side profile. Perhaps if it was heightened it could work out the right size.

I think the size is just right, with one deck. It wont be as much runabout with 2 decks.

Perhaps two cramped decks, like say only 2.1 meters high instead of 2.5. That should put the ship somewhere around 100 meters or so, not too large, not too small. My concern is how large the Raven is.

Alright, well, it looks like this would have to be bigger than the Raven then. Perhaps I need a ship between the Raven and the Runabout. I'll work on it.

Well, im a little torn on this one...I could go with one deck, which means a bigger door and windows in the cockpit, but which also means it comes out about the same size as the Raven, or make it two decks, in which case it is much larger than the Raven.
Starforce is not a real big fan of my work. He never has been hehe.
He converts them for me nonetheless. So he can complain all he wants....

Scale it between the Defiant and the Sabre. It should be smaller then the Sabre, which is classified as a Destroyer. But it should be quite a bit bigger then a Danube, if it's a true Corvette. I'd say about 160 meters. Still quite a bit smaller then a 190 meter Saber, but still quite a bit larger then a Danube, or the Raven.
