I'm in the process of modifying the HP's for my install of P$YCHO's Excelsior Pack. They are awesome ships and I use them often. One thing that is driving me nuts though is that for some reason, the TNG Lakota and Lakota Refit always seem to get their warp nacelles blown off a little too early during combat, and it's always both nacelles at the same time??
It doesn't happen to any of the other ships in the pack unless they've taken A LOT of damage and it is more realistic in that sometimes it's both nacelles, other times it is just one. I've been trying to figure out how to fix this and have come up against a wall. It happens when I face the exact same opponents (arbitrarily chosen) and even when I let Felix do battle.
Any help on how to possibly fix this would be appreciated.
I also posted this over at BCC.

its a model glitch, somehow the models weren't properly meshed together
so the game will glitch with damage, and sometimes the makers can't figure out why

I just use the Dreamyards NCC-2000 that I modified to look like the Lakota using parts from other models. I used the hp's from psyco's Lakota for this model.

Looks pretty good! Thing is, as good as the Dreamyards Excelsior is (I have it also), I don't think it is as "canon" looking as P$ycho's Excelsior's. I'm a purist at heart.
Also, I haven't modeled in years and I've forgotten too much.
