Well it is a long time ago since some news arrived from CG. Is he still working on it or is it canceled?
I've been waiting for this great ship for months, but there is no release.

CG has a life outside of BC and modding you know, besides last I heard he had some family issues and school issues to take care of before he finishes this ship.

I could easily make any registry for the CG Sovereign that anyone could possibly want after the 2.0 comes out, or even for the 1.0 right now.

Ok, not trying to be a mod or anything, but shouldn't we just let this be until someone asks a valid (no release date questions BTW) question or CG posts?

Hey folks, sorry for the long time no-show. Things went pretty nuts this summer. Essentially, by the time this year is over, I will have moved (as in moving residence) around 3-4 times give or take a house. We got my grandpa's house cleaned out recently, and sold, and my parents sold our house as well, and are building a new one. We're renting our house from the buyer in the meantime.. but I've been home away from my work for most of the summer (both BC and otherwise ). I've been home rearranging some things on the home computers for my mom, working on the flight sim business to get some rent money, and most recently moving into my new place at UC Davis. I just got the internet installed and working (SBC DSL, nice connection compared with last year ) and a demo of my FS2004 F-14 Tomcat just got put up this morning. So, all in all, things have been crazy. But not bad at least
School starts up next thursday for me, so in the meantime, I'm working like crazy to finish things.. mostly flight sim business, but I hope to get this thing ready VERY soon.. I'm sick of having to put it aside, and I want it done. What I need now is a little help.. I want to put this one in an installer package similar to Scotchy's Galaxy.. how do I go about doing that?

don't release just an installer version, though you could also use BCMP that would work as well, i'd rather have that, cause i really don't trust third-party installer creators, i'm not paranoid, just cautious

Glad to hear you are ok CG!
Hmm... it might be eaiser to use BCMI indeed, as it has the systems inplace to make the install directors correct I guess... I dunno, I've never packaged stuff, so I'm just speculating.

definatly dont use BCMP (it screws with mvam ships) and BCMI is all well and good but it doesnt compact files like an EXE does.
i just put bridge plugin into an exe, it was 350mb unpacked, its 48mb in a rar file.. its just 26mb in an exe (and thats not even on maximum compression).
only problem with using that install creator is that it has a nasty pop up message when the installer closes "this was created on freeware version of...".. you might wanna try and find out if anyone has a registered one.

Cool! Guess I'll hold off on doing updated registries for the Yorktown until this little beauty comes out.

I'm sure that even if you waited 2 months, your registries would be out first!

You might be right, but this project is all but dead. It's not as hard to tweak something, as it was creating it from scratch in the first place. And this has been worked on for well over a year now.
I think CG has bitten off more than he can chew, and because he does not want to upset anyone, he is just laying low. His private life is too busy for him to properly support this project, and I think it's about time he ended it gracefully. We will just have to go on with his first masterpiece.

IMO this is CG's work of Art and he has every right to not show us until its finished.
(but hey I won't complain if he wants to show us anyway ) lol

Heh, I personally think it's not dead, but going very very slowly. Not everyone has time for these things. I mean c'mon, my life is keeping me from MY projects, but I'm slowly working towards finishing them .
Patience is a virtue, please keep this in mind!

Cube: That might be a good idea to do so. Then have CG PM a moderator to unlock it when he does have an update.
