Work in progress, i scrapped the whole engineering hull i made before and only kept the nacelles, then started on the saucer and the new pylons.

i hope to get the basic shape done by sunday evening my time so ill post what i have then.

Was this taken from a 2-D schematic of this ship? I rmemeber seeing one on Scifi-Meshes.com? It seems familiar, but a nice model. I know some other renditions of this class weren't really that great.

Its from Galens Titan design, yeah i also post over at SFM but no one has commented on the model yet lmao.

im going to post some more up tonight when i get some of the engineering hull finished.

its fo renders at the mo, but shouldnt be to hard to cut the poly count down, at the mo its subdivided, all it would need would be some wicked textures (which i suck at haha)

poly count at the moment with part of the neck done is 2189, but i can reduce that with some editing

There are numerous representations on what people think it should look like. Some are great designs, some I think are rather ugly. This is one of the better designs though.

worked on the torpedo launcher and bottom of saucer this morning, the red engineering hull is off a previous try at modelling it lol

pretty nice splining job (assuming you're doing it with splines) smooth and clean.

actually i tried splines, (also tried them on my previous ship) and they came out horrible!!

i mainly used poly modelling and POZ extender plugin for the hull, for the saucer i just made an oval and beveled it into place

here some more update of the Nacelle, i might leave the rest of the details on it, apart from the RCS thrusters to textureing. if only i knew how to texture good lol

Maybe primarily concentrate on a sweet mesh (as indicated already Grin

) and let one of the texture masters around here, do the texturing Wink
