Well, here is my idea for a super runabout. First problem is a name change.....this is not large enough to be considered a starship, but too large to be a shuttle. So, I need suggestions. I was thinking Jumprunner, but I'm not sure if I like that name. Suggestions are welcome.
The first one to come up with a name gets to name the class.
At any rate, im not decided on the size yet. It has to be bigger than a Runabout of course, but should be much smaller than a Defiant class escort.....preferably smaller than the Nebuchadnezzar. I'm working on a second version, but I will post pics of this one now.
I think I would to say this was a standard ship used by the Federation, and was converted into a warship by the Third Fleet.

How about you call it the Seraphim.
And it looks pretty awesome to me... just my two cents.

Uh...unless its smaller than a runnabout, she is a Starship
Runnabouts are the smallest starships in Starfleet's inventory
the Delta-Flyer and that scoutship(the class eludes me at the moment)
can possibly be concidered starships aswell...
looks good though...I would not get rid of the "hole" in the hull but rather utilize it for mission specific modules...ie:labs, tact room, medical, or dilpomatic room etc...

To me it looks like a runabout version of the USS Raven. How about calling it a "Skirmisher Class" It would probably take the title of smallest starship then.

Skirmisher....hmm...interesting, but doesnt really dance on the tongue. Not bad though, keep em comin.
And yes, I like the idea of the mission modules in the center. I might wip something up for that.

The hole is there to avoid torpedos.

My suggestion for a name: "Intruder".
I dont like the hole too, and that pod is the deflector or a torp launcher? And LC is right, it needs a cockpit.

Well seeing as its between shuttle and starship, something like 'Corvette' or 'Clipper' could work as names.
Looks nice, btw.

Lol i've just realised! This is Star Trek's equivalent of the Whitestar! Lol, see the resemblance?
(Although the Whitestar's actually about the size of a Miranda, or even Excelsior)

Corvette works, I think "Atlantis class Corvette" will do.
Here are the current pics. The cockpit is apparant now, and I added a few windows, though this is a combat ship, so windows are limited. I also added some ablative armor on the sides and other detail work. More to do...I might work on some plug in modules for the hole next.
The top pod is a multirole pod....it has a deflector in the front, impulse engines in the rear, and a horizontal micro core. The reason for putting all of the drive and power components in the pod is to free up the space inside the ship. The rear area is a cargo bay, and the area under the cockpit is where the crew quarters are. There are two decks, but space is limited of course.
