I have an HP zd8000 series laptop with the following specs:
Windows XP Home edition OS
Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz processor
512mb RAM
80gb hard drive
256mb ATI PCI Express graphics card
17 inch monitor with 16x9 aspect resolution
I newly installed Bridge Commander version 1.1 on this laptop, and while the main screen loads just fine, the game crashes to desktop everytime I load a mission, whether it is quickbattle, a campaign mission, or multiplayer.
This happens regardless of whether or not I install mods.
I've tried googling for this problem, and the only thing I found was some guy who claimed that disabling multimonitor support helped him fix a similar problem. However, HP tech support says that multimonitor support is disabled as long as I have not plugged in a 2nd monitor (which I have not). This leaves me back in square one.
Is there anyone out there who has had a similar problem? I would really love to hear from you.
thanks in advance,
shadow

Funny you should mention this. I installed Bridge Commander on my PC and have had nothing but trouble. I get a BAD_POOL_CALLER error and another error that refers to the ATI driver ati2dvaa.dll. I have the following:
AMD Athlon 1000mhz
Windows XP Professional
512MB RAM
ATI XPERT 2000 (PCI)
This has been a very frustrating problem and I have tried upgrading and downgrading the ATI driver to no avail and I have not been able to find a solution as of yet!

Have you tried ,,, createing a Shortcut of stbc.exe ,,, then going into the shortcuts properties and at the end of "C:\*****
\Bridge Commander\stbc.exe"
typeing -TestMode
and use the shortcut NOT the CD startup (What starts when you put the CD in ,,, to exit it just push esc key or Exit
