After all the negative reviews of Legacy, I'm thinking about cancelling my order for it and picking up a used copy of BC instead. However, I have a few questions...
1. The demo plays extremely choppy on my brand new system (e6600, 7950GT 512mb card, 2gb ram). Is there some type of patch or update that makes the full version run smoothly on newer machines?
2. Is Kobay Maru the defacto mod pack? Would all I really need be the base game and that? Im mainly interested in TPM era, btw.
3. Are there "generic" Fed. bridges that are NOT based on specific shows or characters? Don't really want known characters/actors inhabiting my games really.
4. For those who have tried Legacy....should I cancel my order and forget it or try both games? I really don't want to waste my money if its purley "arcade" action.
Thanks,
Mitch

That would be the best specs for the ultra textures (2048x), and would run quite smooth depending on how many ships there are

Legacy is pretty much Armada with alota stuff added to make a 5 year old game engine worse looking...in my POV...

Nebula,
Thanks for the reply,

Latest drivers and non-fragmented drive. It's pretty much a brand new computer. Like I said, plays every other game out there fine with everything on highest settings.

Is it a dual core intel right?...yeah the game seems to run a little choppy on mine too..dont get it, if it was AMD I would tell ya to get the dual core optimizer..that helped with my dual core AMD, but I dont think Intel has such a program..
Even Legacy ran like CRAP on my system, even more choppy than BC..any other game runs PERFECT, halo,Dark Age,BF2 ..etc

I have bought Legacy although I have read all the negative comments. But it is a lot fun im my opinion. I know it needs the finishing touch, but for me it looks great and is more fund than BC...
