Heh.......

Well, I have reworked the mesh a bit. I learned how to draw polys, so I replaced most of the box modeling with drawn polygons. Looks much better, and far fewer if any errors. Also added a few material elements in the fray. Here are the pics and the new mesh.

hmm yeah.. it's really better.. althought the "belly" is still wierd.. maybe it's the lighting.

Well, I wanted to show a staged progression and a hole through to the top of the deck. This was consistant with current Romulan designs.......a front pod with attached wings and a set of stages to the rear of the head, basically.

I would say add small glowing weapon ports in the wings, assuming it's a fighter, maybe tilt the wings down every so slightly.

Ok, major improvements using what I have learned. I removed the separated objects, got rid of some floating vertices, redid some of the polys, and added more detail. I like the result.....I would say now it is ready for someone to grab it.

its been awhile since i watched ST III but that front reminds me of the little shuttle that the one klingon sent the Genesis presentation. i think its the little green glow on the front. Still like it though

Ok, in my ongoing efforts to make this more Romulan, I have changed the nose a bit, ie removed the talons and made it blunt, changed the shape of the forward plasma torp launcher, added glows (yes, I know how to do that now) and some dark panels. I really dont want to make any more changes on this one, so it is ready for someone to rework it.

One other thing, you might add something to the tips of the wings, a lot of races seem to like doing that . . .
