Hey there people, this is a texture pack which will replace all stock planet textures in Bridge Commander. The original textures were simply awful so I decided to completely re-do them or to spruce them up by adding additional layers of detail and then merging them into a single TGA file.

Anyway's enough yapping, this pack can be DL from this link at BC files:-

Clearly those pix have been slightly compressed to fit BCU's size limit, any chance you could post the originals as a zip or a wallpaper pack?

The Excelsior Class is the U.S.S. Relentless which is available from Demon Renegade Studios (DRS).

Unfortunately the site seems to be down at the moment, Just google for Demon Renegade Studios and it should come up with the correct site!!

Captain Elgy, both your packs (planets pack and backgrounds pack) are btilliant. Suggestions for next update:

Update to the orange and blue suns in the game. I already have a yellow sun upgrade that rocks.
Update to belaruz and vesuvi nebulas so that they actually look like nebulas when you fly through them.

Thanks SuperSmeg, glad you like the packs.

I Think I will retexture the suns & nebulas in BC at some point, but I'm working on something TOP SECRET at the minute, and I really want to make sure that it's perfect before I start something else.

I'm also thinking of updating both the Nebula and Planets Packs, V2 will have better textures and new planet textures for the ZM Systems Pack & the Banzai ZAP systems.

Thanks for the suggestion though, I'm sure I'll get to it at some point!!

I have 2 SAPPHIRE RADEON X300SE 128MB Shared Graphics cards (256MB Total) in my computer with a 3.2 Ghz Processor. The Graphics Cards are kind of old now and have been in my computer since I bought it two years ago, it was state of the art back then!!. I've been wanting to upgrade for a while now, but I've never really got around to it.

This is proof that you can still have an average graphics card and still get the most out of games like BC.

Excellent textures, the stock ones were so poor, it detracted from the game a little.
