Xbox by far. Mainly due to its good controllers, games like Halo 2, and also the specs it has over the ps2 and Cube

Meh, IMO they all suck. PC Gaming would have to be my personal favorite.

Y'know, technically the XBox is just a glorified PC anyway... And a pretty outdated and slow one by modern gamer rig standards, too

CaptAidy1701 I could agreee with what you said.
XBox's amazing must have games like Halo have evntually come to PC, and when Halo did come to PC, it was much better then when it was on Xbox. I honestly must say everyone says "oh but the Xbox is newer bulid and its more advanced since the PS2 is old" well true, but look at the games that have been released for all 3 consoles, when it happens generally the praphics are all the same, but there are times when graphics on a certin console are not the same.
As well PS2 does come out with more of the games that you go WOW. like honestly without bringing up Halo, what exclusive Xbox games are there that are just like WOOOOOW. I honestly cant think of any, while PS2 there are plenty such as Ace Combat 5, GTA SA, Gran Turismo 4, Killzone. Thats just what I can think of off the top of my head.
Also yes PC is the best gaming machine, go PC!

i can't belive anyone even owns the POS2....IT SUCKS, i won't touch it with a ten foot grenade, the thing has so many deisgn flaws it ain't even funny, the XBOX was engineered VERY well, and the gamecube is the best, i don't care about the huge amount of games for the POS2, it has all those due to the already noted TIME, its been out, if these systems had been put out during the same time, i would still NOT agree with you, the POS and POS 2 just plain STINK, and so will the stupid POSP, i can't believe they went with mini disks.....ON A HANDHELD, they actaully put a loading time on a HANDHELD sys, what a bunch of dips,.......another testiment to the ignorance of Sony on gaming sys, they can do some cool sound equip, but they can't do squat on their own, they even have to copy other ppl in the gaming area becuase they can't come up with anything of their own.......

Wow... That's an impressive amount of bias and hatred against poor old Sony and their Playstation brand there... But surely 100 million PS owners and 80 million PS2 owners can't all be wrong?

And here we have some hatred and bias going towards Nintendo, in defense of Sony.
But how is the Nintendo DS the "stupidest handheld ever"?
Other questions to consider:
-Do you realise the PSP's battery life is very short, and load times are long? Not a good combination.
-Is there not more to gaming than just graphics?

Its not hatred towards Nintendo I grew up with Nintendo, its just I honestly see them going down only because they have no games geared towards those of an older age who can afford to buy games rather then kids who get mommy & daddy too.
Quote: | But how is the Nintendo DS the "stupidest handheld ever"? |
I think the DS is the stupidest handheld only because 2 screens are not needed, I've seen games on it and what it becomes is one screen is the game while the other is a map, do we really need that ?

Yes I do know that, but so can be my mp3 player, or my sony Clie's battery life.
Yes there is more to graphics, there is game play as well, but tell me would if you have the ablity to use better graphics dont you ? an example would be 2 mods for BC, one is of lesser graphics but use the same HP, you can run both do you not pic the one with better graphics.
And to add one more thing a good 50% of the new released games for Advanced happen to be older released polished off SNES games.

I think the wifi and fun wifi programs you get with it will possibly pull in a slightly older crowd, but yes, I do agree that Nintendo's image is a little tarnished at the moment because everyone saw the Gamecube as kiddy. Still, the GBA SP has been selling *very* well!
Quote: | I think the DS is the stupidest handheld only because 2 screens are not needed, I've seen games on it and what it becomes is one screen is the game while the other is a map, do we really need that ? |
I can see the extra screen becoming almost like the scroll wheel on the mouse over time - something that you didn't even realise you wanted until you had it, and then you wouldn't want to give it up.. But maybe that's just me. I think that at the moment, we really haven't seen them use the dual screen thing to its full advantage, because we're only in the first wave of development for the system. And yes, most games are just sticking a map in that screen. But some aren't - I direct you towards Spiderman 2 by Vicarious Visions... They are using the touch screen to control Spiderman's combat options, while the action all takes place on the top screen. And this is just the start
Quote: | Yes I do know that, but so can be my mp3 player, or my sony Clie's battery life. |
And you're happy with this? My mobile phone has dire battery life, and it's annoying the hell out of me. If it wasn't a 21st birthday gift, I would probably have looked at replacing it by now!

But it's really not analogous, is it? You are unlikely to get any direct ports between PSP and DS, because of the uniqueness of the system.
Consider instead, you can either have one BC with one screen, and prettier ships. Apart from that, it's just like conventional BC. Alternatively, you have a BC with less pretty ships, but two screens so that you can give orders to your crew by touching the one screen, while fighting your battles on the other screen. Which one would you choose now?
Quote: | And to add one more thing a good 50% of the new released games for Advanced happen to be older released polished off SNES games. |
Nothing wrong with that - a lot of those old games were great, and most people don't have a SNES anymore. And with the DS, they can start porting N64 titles... The main reason I intend to buy one is so I can play Mario 64 (I never had an N64). Don't underestimate the power of nostalgia on the over-20's market

This is what I have to say about PSP (the newest one): http://comic.gamedev.net/past.asp?comicid=26
This is what I have to say about XBox: If I ever need a good (and I have money burning a hole in my pocket) heating element, I'll buy one.
This is what I have to say about DS: Don't press to hard! Don't press to hard!
This is what I have to say about GameCube: Hey! It doesn't fit in my cabinet like the other consoles do! And wait, Don't tell me that default openGL lighting is better!
Yes. Those are biased oppions by me.

Mostly due to the lower price of the GBA now, also its not so much of how the gamecube looks, its the games as well, not many games for the cube that are directed for "mature" gamers. Also the idea of the wifi really was to make it so you did not need a link cable like before.

Ok ok I can see your point there, but personally I just find it useless untill given a good application of the duel screen thats my stance.
Quote: | And you're happy with this? My mobile phone has dire battery life, and it's annoying the hell out of me. If it wasn't a 21st birthday gift, I would probably have looked at replacing it by now! |
Well it doesnt bug me, I mean I get proper lithum batteries for my MP3 player and it'll last me when I need it too, and my Clie, well I get say maybe a good day's use outa it, thats like typing for 4 classes and or games inbetween or during so it works for me, I dont mind recharging when I get home, and if it gets low I use low power mode

Well you could get a direct port, I mean say for example a game that is doing the game + map function on the DS, can make an easy port to the PSP. And yes while your example of BC is quite good, I'd find it somewhat annoying that I would be busy looking at a different screen to tell my crew to do something in midest of battle, but if you use the one screen set up as it is you can do the same simple thing of find a moment during the battle to do your adjustments, I see your point its a nice feature I'll give you that.

Oh I agree there is nothing wrong, but I find it entierly stupid that a good chuck of there games happens to be ported over from a previous system. Like yes ok if all you did was say take the Mario games cause everyone loves the mario games then hey it wouldnt be so bad, but many of the games were ported over.
You can even look at it like this Gameboy was out for how long the orginal, like it dominated the market for like a good decade. Game Gear which was vastly better with graphics and colour lost out to Nintendo because the better games were on Gameboy. Now've gone threw too many handhelds in too short a time. Then not only that but they dont have really MUST own games, I rather go to the PSP which will offer amazing titles for it.
Classic Nintendo rocked, but I think Nintendo's time has come and they must pass over the tourch, go thr route of Atari and start devloping games instead.

Can you tell the difference between the games played on the XBOX and the ones played on the PS2 ? If they're so close graphically, then the crown must go to the one that has more and better games. I believe it's the PS2.
