Well, the closest to a missile frigate Starfleet has is the Akira. 15 torpedo tubes, all of them pulse fire. What is that, like 42 torpedos in 3 seconds or some crap? Granted, only SEVEN of them fire forward, but still. I think that's one of the few truly dedicated ordinance ships.

As far as actual missile projectiles that look like the Seeker missile you suggested... I can only think of the old torpedos from the NX-01. I think the majority of all other Federation projectiles glow, probably due to their warp sustainer engine. Although Romulans have torpedos that leave a trail similar to a missile - check out the torpedos fired in ST: Nemesis for proof.

Yeah, at least the ones we can remember from wherever Raven told us about them. War Fleak, it looked like an interesting ship, I don't know, not that many people have commented on it.

OK, this is a very rough promie refit. It is just an idea whipped up in a few seconds for the general shape and design. If someone knows they can do better please feel free!

A design for one was considered but I don't know how far it got. I don't think it has been started modeling yet.

For Federation ship , what about if the Federation would build a Ultra-Fat And powerfull Dreadnought, folowing a historical desing that would be taken from the 20th Century, during WWII , like the Yamato. Take the desing, give it a hull that looks like the Galaxy class, and make it big (like 1250m and up), and you have a nasty, bad guys rear-end kiking ship.

The turets could be a overpowered Pulse Phaser, or something newer (what about quantum pulse?) , instead of having AA guns and small 5inch gun, put some Torpedo luncher. And since it so fat, 2 sincronous warpcore.

It could have been developed in secret, to test new weapon and shielding technology, and the federation wanted to try a desing that actualy look more ''Battleship'' like.

Haaa...imagination is sure a cool thing....I wish I had 0.000001% of the talent some of you artist have so I could draw you what I imagine.... Smile

Well...if the Infinity is already 2k long....it could be a cool story factor that a other ''rival'' ship is been constructed...with a totaly diffenrent perspective.

A litle bit like the Constitution class (Enterprise A) was vs the Exelsior class (USS Exelsior). They were both Heavy cruiser. If the Enterprise a was put up to date, it would be a ''equal match'' for the Exelsior type ship, but still very different.

What I mean by that is to retake the ship form, but use the hull color and aperance of the Galaxy. Just in case I wasent clear, My englis is kinda bad... Sad

I've just looked through a few of Core's designs. They seem quite odd looking yet still feel wierdly Federation like.

To me they seem really distant future, quite flowing, elegant and organic in some cases as opposed to the razor edges of Raven's Fed concepts. I'd say they'd look good in the 31st Century or beyond. I don't think BCII has as place for them. But perhaps its not too early to book them in for an appearance in BCIII Wink
