So far i have tested it and it seems to work. At one point i recieved a distress call from a damaged ship, another time starfleet was invaded by the Borg..... Twice in a row...... It's still far from being implimetad but when it is you should just be able to run Quickbattle load A New frontier Era and sit back and well do something, theres never really a dull moment, i'm working on developing another version of UREGS wich works on the bridge so the crew will talk to one another, wind saffi up also in a new little dity i've been toying with is the Captain Signing and reading reports so a crew member may come onto the bridge give the captain a PADD the captain will then recieve a GUI with some text and imaged he can then decide on a course of action and hand the report back. The whole basis of new Frontier is Now to Improve the feel of the game mke it less like, just a game, and improve the atmosphere. |

 WOW!!!

          | this mod sounds nice, i am looking forward to when I can update my video card to something that will allow me to take advantage of 99% of the mods. I am hoping Immersion and this mod will add hours to my playtime.
What is the current status of this mod?

          | If there is anything I can do, I havent programed in a long time, since High School, but give me something simple and some patience and I can do what I can.
My skills are pretty rusty, but at the least I can always test stuff out, after I get my new video card, I will be at 100%

I am looking for work in RL so I am not 100% available but I tend to like to work in shifts
in other words couple hours here couple there.

          | I think the appropriate answer would be "how long is a piece of string?" (and yes I know the smart answer is "twice the distance from the middle to the end" lol)
You would have to ask Rob for more intimate details about the project status.

I know this is several pages back, AND there are some issues to sort out first [major issues], but for the 24th Century & beyond, I might be able to provide you with a rescue ship
  - although it would need permissions, and someone to actually convert it over to BC ^^;

          | The PADD isea is cool, but make sure these Yeomen don't come sauntering onto the bridge at tense moments.
If you're talking to someone on the viewscreen, fighting a battle, or giving orders to the crew, they should wait at the side until you are not so busy. Have them wait a certain amount of time and then leave if you don't call them over or become idle.

Im not sure what happened to our original SFX guy.

The Search and rescue ship was for a Secondary mod, and secondary mods have been placed on the back burner for a while at least until i can get more free time,

And Bren the Person with the padd, will be turned off at red alert so wil a few other features im not quite sure what yet.

          | Acctually while im here i may as well make a public update:
well lets start at the begining,

The Nx-Era is on slow developmet working on ships etc. This era will take longer since we have to build many of the things from scratch including the missions etc

The Mealrtrom Era or demo is coming along nicely i've just begun to write the second mission for episode 1, Which may not seem like alot but when you consider that i have 6000 Lines, plus of code to re-write, plus upgrades to the systems and placements, Also i need to write new Ai for the ships to handle the new framework its a task which takes quite a while it should also be noted that some of the code is not quite compatible with Quickbattle Mode which serves as the Launch pad for new frontier, and i takes a while to persuade it to be coroperative.

The Framework itself has been re-written, work should really kick into gear in a few weeks maybee next month, you should also start seeing some updates and sneak peaks of Star Trek:Armageddon (TIS) on the forum, since this is a joint effort (sort of) Between myself and a very good and very tallented modder, things should be interesting.

 Well thats all for now,

          | Ok i've been working on and off for the past few weeks on new frontier, I even managed to recruit a friend to assist in scripting systems, Speaking of which thats something ill have to get round to working on again systems, i been working mainly on ships etc. Oh well
As you have probably read in title there is a New Frontier Fleet Pack comming out, in the next few months, As soon as i get around to finishing it, Right now im just running shake downs on the models and scripts etc.

 So The Third Fleet Pack:

The Third fleet is assigned to Earth as the primary defence force for the federation capital world, The fleet comprises of 20 starships in total, And yes you do get all of them in this pack, All if the registries on the cannon ships are cannon to the game, ive also given each of them a back story too.

They just need to have some problems tracked down and some of the shields and Hull strengths rebalanced appart from that what remains doing is minor. I also went on a shuttle binge so all the shuttle craft which will be relesed with this fleet pack are the correct size and can be returned to the shuttle bay, These ships aslo come New Frontier ready, which means the modified transporter systems which come out with the New Frontier Core will work with these ships,
  .
I'll probably be releasing it in an exe format, to lower the file size which at the moment is quite large, but ill find a way to bring it down there are still a few redundant textures from the rather exstensive excelsior class fleet mixed in so they'll go, The Galaxy Class USS Trinculo is also MVAM capable, The Steamrunner class USS Appalachia and USS Steamrunner have all been tweeked to be more like thier Armada 2 Counterparts.
Photon, Quantum and tricobalt have been enhanced as have phaser effects, In addition everyone of these ships will have a custom crew and hail module for the new frontier Communication Mod. Which will be released in due cours a mod seperate from the acctual New Frontier Project, The Project its self will upgrade the modules to make them more compatble with the improved mission framework, infact most of the ships in the big mod will have some custom missions of there own. i realise that ive writen loads on info but havent mentioned the ships well here they are:

          | I fixed the double post for you. Glad to see your project is still alive, I'm very much looking forward to seeing what you can produce!

          | Relaunch: It hasnt been mentioned at BCU but, New Frontier Was Cancelled.
However i still have a few odds and ends lying around.

Therefore I am RE-Launching New Frontier With a new Missions and New Goal.

So New Frontier Is Now: New Frontier Generations.

Note* Our site address has remained the same
