She's rough, but I've got the basic shapes down through good old fasioned box modeling. Just some manual vertex editing and the mesh will be done. I'll probably do the textures myself, as I have some nifty ideas that i think will work well. The smoothing groups are pretty rough ATM though, since it's just WIP smoothing to help visualize as I tweak.

Excellent work......decrease the size and width of the nacelles, and increase the size of the tail a bit.

Great Job Scotchy.

Ok pretty much finished with the mesh I think. The first 4 pictures are of the bottom of the ship with some valdore-eque lower wing gunnery structures. Since there wasn't a view of the bottom side of the ship, I kind of filled in the blanks with what I thought would make the ship extra badass. The last picture is without the lower wing structures. The valdore style impulse vents can me removed too if needed, but I think ther rock personally. So here she is:

This is a gorgeous ship
I like it with the bottom pod, why dont you shorten the one without the pod on the bottom and slim out the engines.....that would make two ships

Oh yeah, polycount is just 2200. See I can do low poly.
Exe, just thought that would be a good idea, to keep all these ships together. Since their Raven's ships and were just the manufacturers in a sense.
Well, after I make some adjustments to this mesh to make the second ship Raven suggested, I'll be on to the other 3 romulans I'm doing... not to mention the Independencs class.

Yes, well, this ship is around the size class of the Scorpion, so you will see it in game more often. Remember, smaller ships make for more realistic play and set the larger ships in thier proper stance as far as thier power. When someone sees a Sov enter the battle they should see it as a powerful ship, not just another capital playtoy like the stock game.

heh...and that is the way it should be Raven...in the stock game they were just another one to blow up...This way the battles will be a little more furious(and quick if that sov does indeed show up)

Yeah, in the game you kinda get... well, bored of these massive capital ships. DS9 kinda corrected that, but because of the ridiculously overpowered nature of the "hero Defiant" (a "real" Defiant couldnot have done all the things that little ship did... maybe it was the Prophets ) you never got the impression the capital ships were terribly powerful. The only exception to this, however, was whenever a Galaxy-class showed up. Watched those soar by in "Sacrifice of Angels" punishing those Keldons and Galors was a scene of pure awesome. Those ships felt BIG, at least for that one minute. The only other time I felt the true awesomeness of a Fed capital ship was in First Contact, when the Enterprise roared past the crippled Defiant.
Hopefully in BC2, you'll know WHY those ships are so damned big and so damned expensive.
But hey, maybe the reason why the ships feel so small in BC is that you only ever see the bridge, with maybe 8 people on it at once if you're lucky.

LOL, I think I might have seen 9!
I agree that we need to reset capital ships in their place, not like in armada where it wasn't so much to defeat your enemy in strategical combat as to just build up an overwhelming fleet of maybe 30 sovs, select 16 and keep the rest for back up and just blitz him.

Yeah, and where a good portion of those massive capital ships would go down with all hands and... well, it wasn't much of a consequence. *L*
