We had a problem with a huge session overflow, and had to fllush our session table. As a result, all BCU cookies are corrupted on your system. You will not be able to log in properly unless you follow the following directions exactly.

Open Windows Explorer, and surf to your Temporary Internet Files folder. Make sure you use folder view in the left pane so you can choose the folder directly, instead of surfing to it. You will see a bunch of folders with funny names...delete them all. Delete all of your cookies out of your Cookies folder as well if you have one.

Then, surf to your Temp folder. See if you have a Temporary Internet Files folder in there as well and a Cookies folder, and delete the contents in the same manner.

That will reset this page, as well as any other password-based page.
We will have to login again on those pages

Such as myself? I dont know about others, but I didnt like needing to empty my cookies folder (and thus losing all login information on the sites im registered at).

I tried deleting just the cookie assosciated with this forum, but I had the same login problem anyways. Still having login problems from time to time.

Well, if you turn on autocomplete, and surf to those sites, it will store the info for you...deleting your cache does not erase the autocomplete info.

yeah, same here. The Auto Login function doesn't work for me either.

Its working fine on my home computer, probably since there aren't any BCU cookies on this slow-coach.

Anyway, 99% of internet problems can be solved by erasing the temp folder. It may mean you lose your 'stay logged in' feature but AutoComplete and Opera's Wand shouldn't be affected by it.

Well, I'd like to be able to use the auto login so I don't have to login every time I get an email saying I have a reply to a thread or a private message.

Yes it's an inconvenience, but SUCK IT UP!!!

It's not that difficult to set your browser to remember your login details so you don't have to go to the trouble of typing in your details.

Just scroll to the bottom of the page and click the login button. It's 2 seconds of your time, If you don't want to go to the trouble of loggin in, then stop complaining and just don't log in. Ghost the forum for a while so.

Be thankful you CAN login.

Frankly, this snide replies are quite uncalled for. Excuse Mayhem, and myself, for preferring the use of the auto login feature, rather than having to log in each time to answer replies to our respective threads, or answer prvt msgs from other members.

Ok, think of it like this. Would ou rather the boards not to be working at all. We Mods, Admins, webmasters and Raven spent an Entire Evening in MSN Messenger trying to sort this problem out so that you could post at all.
Be thankful for that alone.

Like I said, set your browser to remember your details and it's simply a case of clicking a single button.

Could do without the attitude mate. They are just saying they'd rather not have to log in everytime. I'm sure they know Raven and the rest are trying there best. You dont have to have a go at everyone.
I believe Ravens reply was enough and explained everything, you are just making things worse.

right this stops now. Any backchat to a moderator is not appropriate in the forums. If you have a problem either take it up with the moderator themselves via PM or PM a global moderator or admin with your complaint. We have spent a while trying to sort the problems with BCU, but at the moment, as ive already said in a few threads, the autologin is not functioning, but you are now able to log in. If you dont like the inconvienience them im afraid its tough as theres nothing we can do about it at the moment. We are currently attempting to sort all BCU problems out and will keep you all updated as and when we have news.

I have followed the directions above as best I could and made repeated attempts and still cannot stay logged on. I believe my problem may be that I need a little more detail on the location of each of the files I need to delete. This may not be my problem, however, as I am far from being computer savvy and may have misdiagnosed my error. Thank you for your time.
