          | I went to a Sams Club in my home town and I saw a graphics card for $90.It was a NVidia G-Force FX 5200.
Should I get it? I would want to be able to handle Scotchy's Galaxy and CG Sov at a high resolution.

 Here are my specs:

 Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) XP/MP/4 1532MHz
Graphics Card: NVIDIA GeForce4 MX 420
 Memory: 608MB
 Free Disk Space: 5.42GB
 Operating System: Microsoft Windows XP

Feel free to suggest anything else
 Thnx

          | My previous graphic card was a Geforce 4MX 440 64MB, and I was able to run CG Sovereign and Scotchys Galaxy at 1024x768 with no problem.
My current card, Geforce FX 5950 Ultra 256MB cost me about 400 dollars, and I must say it was worth every penny

          | Those are good ideas and I will consider them but I saw a Radeon 9200 at a Best Buy and I was wondering what you guys thought and also I'm just curious but isn't a NVIDIA GForce MX 420 to a NVIDIA GForce FX 5200 a step up from what I have?

          | So if it is a step up how come from the comments it seems so bad?
You guys don't happen to know what resolution you can get on Scotchy's Galaxy and CG Sovereign on the FX 5200?

It's "bad" because the card is not good value for money. If you spend a little more, you will be getting a lot more performance for what you spend.

          | to be honest with u i wudnt advise carrying on with agp at the mo neway, all the hardware producers apear to be making a push towards pcie stuff and so the long term value of an agp card isnt really much any more.
