i have a small problem with the patriot, sometimes the weapons' power level will go crazy if i mess with it, either hitting 200% or dropping to 0%, and it causes my game to go nuts, this also causes the main battery to drain like crazy, i've commented out the secondary warp core so i don't think this is the prob, i've been using her in KM, so it has the advanced power distribution mod

you'll need to open it with the Model Property Editor and delete all the hardpoints in the sections under Scene Root but not the ones IN Scene Root.
or if the author doesn't mind i redid it and fixed all of the fire-thru-hull phaser arcs that i found... because there's nothing quite as fun as pretending to shear off your own warp nacelles...

Thats no problem chap. I have to appologise for the errors in this script however they are being redone as we speak so I will issue a new one soon. This was the first script we ever did and some errors made it through the testing stage. I hope this doesn't turn people againt the Patriot. The upcoming Aquiescent Class will have no such problems.

The USS Patriot model and textures were brilliant, its just the scripting of the ship which wasnt very good. Are you saying that you have redone the scripts for the Patriot then and will release them soon? If they are better then it will definatly get my download.
Maybe I could beta test any new scripts for the Patriot, just to see if you did iron out all the problems.

That might be a good idea actually as some of the problems encountered were because some people had add ons installed that I didn't. It worked fine on my system but obviously there were errors which conflicted on other systems. I've simplified the script now. Taken out one of the cores as there really was no need for it in the gameplay. The ridiculous amount of extra bits on the end have been sorted too. Theres only one for each now. The extra ones had been generated by the MPE and I was a bit lazy not deleting them. The only other problem was some phaser arcs firing through the ship on occassion but they weren't as often as some people suggested.

Do you have any objections to me porting this beauty over to the Armada community?

Has anyone esle experienced the problem of the ship seriously losing engine speed while playing, even though nothing is damaged? I removed all the duplicate system entries in the HP, but I find it hard to believe that a ship with Impulse speed set to 15 would only go 5600 kph in game, and after I play for about 2 mins, my max speed drops to 2300 kph.

the prob with speed is the one of the impulse engines disabled percentage is WAY wrong, it was like 834937, not the 0.xx it should be

Ok script fix done now for this. The HP fix on BC Files isn't anything to do with me!! The OFFICIAL Version 1.1 fix has been sent for issue tonight. It is a complete replacement set of files which cures all of the problems that I have seen reported. Cheers for the support on this.

Sorry if I'm being a little ignorant but what's the FTP???
I just sent them to Starforce last time.
I need another way of getting them on as his system is down I think.

FTP stands for File Transfer Protocol (or program I've heard both)
did you send it to bcfiles ( files@bcfiles.com )? thats the address

Sent them tonight. Had net problems lately so not been able to get on here.
These new scripts have worked perfectly on my system over lots and lots and lots of testing hours so hopefully there will be no more egg to be wiped from my face! lol
Anyway in addition to the script this new V2 version has redesigned warp nacelles as pictured below. Should be downloadable soon. It will over-write the previous version if you have that installed.
