Saw this on Scifi meshes yesterday. Very cool reimagined version of the Constitution.

Personally, I'd love it if this ship became a new 'ENTERPRISE' series. It'd permanently settle the debate over what universe that show took place in.

Nice model, but I have to say I think the ship itself looks like a ghoulish version of the Enterprise. It's just not beautiful like Matt Jeffries' was.

If you all have watched Trekkies you know who Gabriel Koernor is. He is that smug kid who dissed the uniform his club made for him......Now he is an emmy nominated graphic artist. He has worked on Battlestar Galactica, and various other feature films. On my modeling website he has posted some great pictures of what a re-visioned 1701 might look like. Click em all and enjoy...shuttlecraft pics are at the bottom. HE IS STILL WORKING IN THE TOP OF THE SAUCER so thats why it looks like it does. Wether you like it or not as the 1701 its a neat design. Shuttlecraft pics are at the end. I think it looks good as a ship in between the 1701 and the 1701 refit.....or pre 1701.

Personaly, if you think of the other ships in trek and the level of detail on their surface, esp voyager, DS9, the defiant, some aliene vessels, the NX, this takes some (not all) of the same grace in the original but makes it less smooth and perfect and more like something you would actualy expect to fly. Plus it matches up well with the cochrane warpship construction style and coloring.

I think it looks amazing. It seems much more rugged and dependable than the original, and is apperently a good deal larger- which is much more realistic if you're intending on sending a single ship on a five-year exploration mission into uncharted, hostile, deep-space.
