There's a guy who makes a webcomic using CGI, called Crimson Dark.
There are probably others but this is the first one I've noticed.

This one I assume? I like the stylised look. I've been lookin at doing a web comic for some time but need an idea for it. It's either going to be a fairly serious anime Steampunk one or a complete piss-take based on my life, something like Counter-Culture.

Incidentally I started trying to write a gritty post-apocalyptic style space adventure. Not really gotten very fair at all. The writing styles a bit random too

I'm working on a few writing projects, I'm helping Amy with a story at the moment (if you've been checking Facebook, you'll know she's now self published). If you've got a decent story idea, I cn write it out, I'm getting quite good acording to some of the people who've read it.

Or just write it as dialogue/screenplay and transfer it to webcomic format. I'd recommend Celtx because the planning processes intgrated into it will help with characters and settings and the storyboard tools can help set out comics.

Well, it is true. You only get royalties from selling it.

The problem with fiction and stuff on forums is the format. You can't indent or justify, and you're restricted to the forum colour scheme and text size, making it difficult read. At least that's what makes it difficult for me to read anything people post online.

We aren't going to publish, or write the book in the forum, that's just for ideas, plot discussion and short paragraphs.

How about if I looked for a whiteboard to use? Something like a wiki.....there are wiki mods for both phpBB and SMF.

Hmm... well, a mention of a wiki was thrown around while we were writing the universe of Ea, and since then wiki sites for everything have become more popular and usable.

Anyway, if people are throwing around ideas, I'm pondering writing a Metal Opera along the lines of Aina: Days of Rising Doom or Symphony of Enchanted Lands, unfortunately, I'll just end up ripping off LOTR and not getting away with it (and sci-fi just isn't epic enough...).
