yeah, as we speak I am adding some darker shadows and additional facial features.
btw, you might want to look at the picture without the black background in this forums.

finished the outline of the hair mostly...still struggling with some of the shadows and the mouth...it just don't look like mine...lol

keeping adding shade levels and things will look nice.
as for the mouth.. add some hightlights, they do miracles

It is purely done it PaintShopPro 8. no render, no 3d at all.

Hey Blaxx maybe you should try a vector based program for this style of work instead of a bitmap one.
Easier to handle and improve.

well, yes...you may be right but I figured that paint shop is preyy powerful in vectors, too.
well, not exactly as powerful as photoshop or corel, but it's cool anyways.
I might try some other work in inkscape tho.
