Tecmo Super Bowl - college style. You know the players: Donovan McNabb, Edgerin James, Tim Couch, Plaxico Burress, Ron Dayne, Ricky Williams, Tom Brady, Tai Streets, David Boston, Shaun Alexander, the list goes on and on... Even if you're an NFL fan these names are all familiar to you. If you haven't played this yet then go to the download section and check it out.

Tecmo Rose Bowl is a little pet project I worked on back in 1999. I started by taking an existing college patch that was out on the internet, and changing some of the teams. Then I started to change all the helmets. Then I fixed the season so that teams play each opponent only once and that they (more or less) play their conference rivals towards the end of the season, with rivalry week as week 17. I keep changing little things, but now it's more or less done.

The final version of Tecmo Rose Bowl is available in the download section. Hopefully you will enjoy it as much as we have (see our season info). It's nice to have a change of pace from the using pro teams all of the time.

For those of you who want to hack the rom visit Tecmo Super Bowl Heaven and get Tecmo Super Bowl Manager, that should get you started. The other stuff you're on your own for. You can use Hex editors to edit text, and tile editors to edit the images, but there was definitely a limited amount that I was able to do using them.
