Random Stuff
American Technos Corporate Profile - from jcc, found at www.corptech.com. Apparently they were still around as of 1999 making "action arcade computer software" and screensavers (?). Um, educational.
Nekketsu 8-in-1 pirate cart - this would be incredibly nifty to have. Also, the background of the pic has someone's nutty shag carpet.
Nekketsu 7-in-1 pirate cart - technology is amazing. Also, check out what happened to the carpet that used to be in my old room. Someone lined their frigging couch with it.

Actual Kunio Manga
"Kuniokun! Something something!" Damn kanji. Um, no details, but apparently it exists. I'll try to hunt some down next time I go to Chinatown if I can figure out which label it's published under.
Kamereon (Chameleon)
The story of Yazawa, a yanki who took Japan by storm! (yanki = juvenile delinquent)
What I know (possibly wrong): Yazawa, a big name at his junior high, is moving up to senior high. The senior gangs are intimidated at first, but it soon becomes apparent that Yazawa doesn't live up to his reputation (he got that picture by sneaking into the scene of a motorcycle wreck).
He's soon in love with a girl and at odds with the head badass at school. Yazawa's horrible luck, bad timing, and rashness always get him into trouble, but through cowardice and others' intervention he avoids getting his ass kicked too badly.
This manga has 40+ volumes, all of which are available at the Kinnokuniya bookstore in downtown Seattle, so I assume it's fairly popular somewhere (hell, anything that runs long enough to fill 40 volumes...). My former roommate Jon wholeheartedly recommends it.
It reminds me of the Kuniokun series because it's a high-school drama with lots of ass-kicking and tough guys with silly hair (but Kamereon has a great deal more urine, erection, and tampon humour). Also, each volume has a Kuniokun-esque SD portrait on the back. I personally can't read Japanese, but you get a good kick out of Kamereon if you have a general idea of what's going on.
Update! There's a US release of at least one animated Chameleon thingy in existence called "BITE ME! Chameleon." I haven't watched it, and I don't know if it's an OVA or part of a series, but... it's there.

Dodge Danpei or something
For Super Dodgeball fanatics, there's this thing. I have no real idea what it's called, since I didn't notice it was in Chinese until I got it home (hell, it was only a quarter).
It was probably Japanese originally, though. All the sound effects are in Japanese. Anyway, the volume I have (16) picks up in the middle of a trophy match between the hero team and some evil ninja team. Click here to see the ninja team leader's secret drill shot and learn that it's helluva painful to catch.
There are a number of games based on this series. I've found a ROM for a Gameboy title and seen a Super Famicom cart. The Gameboy game plays like a dodgeball version of Captain Tsubasa/Tecmo World Cup, and it seems kind of decent. If there's any demand I'll post it.
