Introduction )) \\=========================================================================// This FAQ is designed to be an easy reference for the pilot and vehicle statistics. In the near future, it will also have character bios and detailed information about each car(ie. Pros, cons, tips, and tricks). NOTE: The names of the pilots and ships are based on my Japanese import of this game. When I get the American version of the game I will update to fit that version of the game. CAUTION: Read Warning. Read at your own risk! /--------------------------------\ ( What Do The Vehicle Stats Mean? ) \--------------------------------/ Here's what they mean: Weight - The heavier a vehicle is, the more momentum it has. This means that if you pick a heavy vehicle you won't be affected as much when other cars smash into you. If you pick a light vehicle, and fail to watch your back, other cars will be able to bump you around. Also, it is very important to remember that heavy vehicles accelerate slower, but they have a higher maximum speed. Body - The car's body stat determines how much damage you take when you hit something. If your damage meter becomes empty you "kick the bucket." Boost - After the first lap of every race, you get boost power. The better your boost stat is, the faster you go when you boost. Lighter vehicles have the advantage of being affected by boost more than the heavy ones. SO if you pick a light car with bad boost, it could actually boost better than a heavy car with good boost. Grip - Grip is the equivalent of traction. If you choose a car with low grip, and pick at track with sharp turns, your vehicle will likely slide into the opposite wall when you're coming out of a turn. /--------------------------------\ ( What about the compass thing? ) \--------------------------------/ Note: All of the compass stats are rounded and out of 5 NORTH - Body - This is the same as the other body stat N | EAST - Max Speed - This is how fast the vehicle can W---+---E go when fully accelerated, but you already knew that. | S SOUTH - Cornering - Simply put, cornering is how tight your vehicle is able to turn.
