The Nintendo 64 will be best remembered as the system that made multiplayer work. Sure, previous consoles had given the players the option to compete against one another. But, with games like Goldeneye, F-Zero X, and the Mario Party series, Nintendo gave four players the access to all-night multiplayer fests. Of course, Super Smash Bros. is at the top of that list.

The original Super Smash Bros. took all the classic characters from Nintendo's history and turned them against each other, and Captain Falcon (who was an unlockable character) was right in the middle of it all. Yes, he is Number One!
