The starbird classification is tenative since I am unsure as to what size I want this to be....I am shooting for around 600 meters or so.

You may be familiar with this ship by now, but for those that are not, this is the new mainline capital starship for the Roms, the Dxorac. It was designed to match most capital ships, but what is most unique about this vessel is its abilities....the fact that they are balanced.

This ship is less powerful than the DDeridex, and is about half its size, but it has a good balance of shielding, speed, menuverability, armor and weaponry, and a first for Romulan ships.......good weapon coverage. There are no dead arcs on this ship.

And that makes this ship very valuable to the Romulan fleet. Basically, this ship would be an even match with a Sov.

Pics and mesh posted...may add more detail later, but for now I have to move on to other fixes.

Lol.

I like it. It has more jagged edges than i'd expect on a Romulan ship (and yes, the engines should be green), but still, looks good. Definitely Norexan-style.

You say the ship got good weaponcoverage. does it have pulsguns in every direction or beemweapons more like the feds?

Well Starforce, one thing I can count on is that when you dont like it, it looks the way it should

BTW, here are some comparison pics with a stock Valdore. As you can see, the Dxorac is only slightly bigger than the Valdore, but is much more sturdy in it's design.

WOW! It looks great...I still dont get why you keep expecting a bad response from all your models...ive never seen a bad BC2 ship yet. I think this ship looks great, as a fan of Romulan vessels id say it suits perfectly....I can definatly see it. Great work man

I kinda like it better than the Valdore,,, after seeing the comparison pics,,, bet it is gonna be tough to defeet

you might even replace the Vorcha in the site logo (when you are satisfied with the final ship)

I think that there's a need of big and impressives new Romulan Vessels... I mean, the "Romulan Style" in ships conceptions allows to create very original and impressives ships, look for example the "Scimitar", (Ok, it's not Romulan but it's a brother in law) I think that we need more veesels like it, not so powerfull but whit Impressive weaponary and looks...
THis kind of designs could be perfect for that porpouse, but whit something like 1.200 m. Also that size could make possible to make an outstanding texturing work (I mean for BC scale)

Yes, well, that puts 99 percent of my designs to shame....talk about wishing I designed something lol. You took everything that was bad about my original scorpion and flipped it around to a beauty (no, I dont mean you copied the scorpion, I mean you created a ship like the scorpion, unorthodox and flowing).....I couldnt have done better if I tried.

That ship is exactly what I would have liked to see in BC2. Unfortunately my talent does not reach into the Fed genre. I have maybe 3 decent designs for the feds and the rest are....well...crapola frankly.

I love doing Fedaeration ships, its what im best at, well i say that but ive never tried doing another race, oh and i will say that the Courageous warp engines are based on the Scorpion B (i think thats the right name) design, infact it was that design that got me back into drawing, i hadnt gone near my drawing pad in a year or so, i already had the Courageous, she had a different name, and looked a little different, you could say more Romulan, but when i saw what you had drawn it gave me new ideas, a new perspective on Federation design.

Anyway ive just finished a redraw of the Achillies class from Dominion Wars, i thought i would have a crack at it, after all its the sort of design that is to my style, and i for one think ive done a good job.

And i hoping that a good friend of mine might have a crack at a model he knows who he is, lol.

Im also working on a Sweden class, people might remember DarkThunder once started her, well he did a little redesigning, and while we were chatting one day i said i would give it ago for him, so far ive only drawn the top view done but its looking good.

As for your Federation ships i think you have done some great looking ones, that Battleship is great.

Yea, the battleship is one of the few I have done that I am satisfied with...I like the Scorpion B as well, it is a tough looking all business vessel.

But most of my other ships are lacking. I would still like to remake the Centurion...I like the design and the concept, but it is not working perfectly as I made it.

Sometimes its hard to reach perfection, ive tried so many times with my other ship designs, there are some i like, but im still not happy with them, the Courageous is the only perfect ship i have ever designed, it has every thing just when i want it, thing is it took me a long time to get her right. far to long.

I should have you take alook at azels drawings for other races. Some of his are a bit extreme and need to be moderated a bit but they'll give you a base. Stay away from ravens bad influence

Do not listen to the crazy people Mayhem.....Azels designs will only corrupt your work. His work is too edgy for your style...stick to your own road. You put both atolm and me to shame.
