The multiple session problem has been corrected. Anyone that generates excessive sessions will have those sessions cleared automatically now.

Thanks for your patience in this matter.

if you're using maxthon disable the ad kill button on the bottom toolbar, that is whats doing it. I still think it's BCU however, as I've been using it for over a year and no problems, and now all of a sudden I can open 10 tabs and crash the place...I don't think so. BCU has been a mess since the move.

Do people who use firefox have to turn ad blocking off? (and proceedure?)
[edit] foudn it - tools - web features - off

Popupkiller and MSN message stopper are what I normally use.

Nebula set it off with his firefox adblocker but my unmodded FF was fine. Maxthon is fine when it's off too.

Would I be right in guessing that multiple sessions means no tabbed browsing of these forums in firefox, opera, konquerer, etc?

I think so, why that has anything to do with AdBlockers, I have no idea.

so now I can't use adblock plus to block peoples sigs? Great, now the time it takes to load pages will double or even triple. Oy, why adblock is causing this here when I use it on every other one of the forums i frequent (bout 8 in all) has no issues is beyond me. And they all use vBulletin or PHBB or w/e it's called. The multiple sessions I can understand, as the user who is doing it is taking away more bandwidth from the server. But since you aren't allowing that anymore, I suggest that the recent posts thingy opens in the same window frm now on.

you can use tabs. For soem reason when browsing with maxthon or firefox with blockers active it causes hundres of sessions per user. I opened 15 tabs as fast as I could and raven said my IP was up to 430 or so. When I turned the adblocker off and did the same thing, it had 2 sessions. I dunno what it is either but whan I am sure of is that it's BCU not our browsers, otherwise why wouldn't it have done it before? I've been using amxthon with blocker for over a year on bcu. One wonders if something wasn't mess with when that announcement was made on how to block gamespy's ads, as some kind of retaliation on theit part. Either way, this forum is screwed up. Hopefully it can be fixed soon. Besides that, you can turn off sigs and avatars in your profiles anyways.

thanks, and you can't Auto Login because that feature is currently offline. If you read the other BIG global announcement by Raven you'll see it there.

I turned autologin back on...Ill check to make sure it is set right.

Also you guys have to delete all files in the temporary internet folder, cookies folder, and temp folder for your cache to be clean. Then you should be able to log in normally.
